Practice Equipment
Swimmers are encouraged to bring the following equipment to practices each day:
- Swim Suits - Team suits or similar training suits are encouraged for practices. Recreational swimwear (swim trunks, bikinis) are discouraged for them.
- Goggles - There are a variety of options available. We encourage them to have an extra pair (or two) as a backup if these break.
- Caps (optional) - Especially for those with longer hair, these are recommended to keep it from getting in their eyes while swimming.
- Kickboard (optional) - If swimmers have their own, they are welcome to bring. Clayview does has their own for use during practices for those who do not have.
- Water bottles - Hydration is important during activity, especially as the summer gets warmer.

Practice Policies
- While practices are not required, we encourage swimmers to come daily when possible to better help develop their skills and endurance in the water.
- If your swimmer will miss a prolonged number of practices (vacation, camps, etc.), please communicate these to us ahead of time.
- Swimmers should only attend their designated practice time unless given permission prior to attend a different time.
- As safety is our biggest priority on deck, please allow Coaches to coach during practice and save any questions you may have for before/after practices or reach us via email.
- Practices will be cancelled if there is lightning and we will do our best to communicate that out prior to practice when possible. In the event of rain or cooler temperatures, we may still practice. In the event we don't cancel, please use your own judgment on attending these practices.
